Sayana joins Headspace Health

Three years ago, we started Sayana with a mission to put affordable mental care in everyone's pocket.

It's a deeply personal mission, as we've seen how mental health is becoming an issue not only within our group of friends and families, but on a global scale.

The main goal of the Sayana app was to introduce people to a variety of therapeutic exercises, ranging from cognitive behavioral therapy to mindfulness, help them apply these practices daily, and meet other people around the world who are facing the same problems.

The feedback from the Sayana community was astonishing. More than 18,000 people left reviews on the App Store. We've received letters on how Sayana changed lives. And for many, it was their first-ever venture into mental wellbeing.

However, we always kept our purpose in mind. And it became apparent that if we want to bring affordable mental care to everyone — this will require various tools and approaches: from meditation and preventive care to personal therapy and clinical solutions.

Last year, we met the Headspace Health leadership team, and we quickly realized that we share the same mission and values. More than that, since Headspace Health is the most comprehensible and accessible mental health platform in the world, they already had many tools that we were planning to build.

Improving mental wellbeing is a complicated challenge that requires the passionate work of thousands of people. It makes much more sense to join forces and add to each other's progress than building things already available and working well.

Therefore, we are honored to become a part of the Headspace Health team and contribute our skills and knowledge to fulfilling the mission together.

We hope that everyone can soon get help when needed, learn to be resilient when facing challenges, stay calm when feeling stressed, live a mindful life, and realize that no one is ever alone in their experiences.

We are grateful to all of Sayana users. Your suggestions, reviews, love letters, bug reports, and subscriptions kept us going — we've poured all our hearts into it for you. We also thank our investors for taking risks and believing in the vision of a world where mental health is no longer an issue.
